Individual Health Reproduction Market In China:

People in China are paying more and more attention to the individual health in reproduction and the life quality between husbands and wives. The expenditure on reproductive health care products in China has kept increasing at the rate of 15 - 30% which is much higher than the increase rate of 13% in developed countries. However, the rate of popularization for the use of these products, compared with developed countries, is a bit lower. Take the consumption on condom for instance, only 1.54 condoms per capita are used annually in China, while 12 are used in USA and European countries. And the average rate of using condom is 5.3% in China (19.5% in Shanghai). The demand of condom increases at a rate of 15% every year in China. Another example is that only 2.6% of women at the age of
15 - 45 in China take oral contraceptives, compared with 30 - 53% in developed countries.
